Earl Of Manchester’s Lifeguard of Foote, invites you to the 362nd Anniversary of Adwalton Moor, Oakwell Hall, West Yorkshire.
The Battle of Adwalton Moor

The battle with its living history encampment is set against a backdrop of 17th Century Hall and Gardens,
which parliament and Fairfax’s forces retired past after their defeat on the 30th June 1643.

Directions
From East & West take the M62 to Junction 27, exit south west on to A62 Huddersfield Road, (sign posted),
travel on this road for approximately 1.5 miles to the 4th set of traffic lights, then turn 90 degrees right Citreon dealership on to Scotland Road,
(sign posted with brown heritage sign “Oakwell Hall”), 1 mile further along road past Scotland Pub turn right onto Nutter Lane,
(sign posted “Oakwell Hall”), follow sign for Hall and not visitor centre.
From the North & South take M1 junction 42 (M1/M62 interchange) travel westbound from Junction 29 to J27, then as above.

Living History
The Living History camp will be situated on the lawns of Oakwell’s main Hall. The encampment will be a very important part of the week-end and all support will be appreciated.
Giving a three-dimensional history lesson that is entertaining, fun and educational;
using this visual interpretation to show what it meant to be a merchant, a farmer or soldier during this period.
Remember Living History is an integral part of historical interpretation, its promotion is important in preserving the elements of our cultural heritage.

Powder issue – 11.00am both Saturday and Sunday

Living History – 11am till 4pm both days

Pre-battle display – Royalist Army 2pm Both Days

Battle Starts 2.30pm both Days
